Pizza 1 App (Fractions) iPod/iPad Activity Direction Sheet

Here is a fun, quick way to practice fractions!
It's pretty basic.
I wish the app would mix it up like this:
"How much pizza was eaten?"
"How much of the pizza is left?"

  1. Thanks for sharing! I love this app and your activity sheet is great. I think it is awesome to use technology but also have the accountability for students.

    1. Nikki- I agree! I feel more learning and REAL learning is happening when I made them accountable!

  2. Mindy,
I have recently started following you and you are inspiring me! Could you please share with me how the kids email you photos of their work? Thank you!

  3. MargieDee- My students email the photos of their work by using the email (GMAIL) account that I have set up on each iPod and iPad under the Settings-Mail. Does that make sense? I created an email account especially for this purpose.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to respond. So each ipod/ipad has an email account assigned to IT, not each student, right? And every student knows the login and password? And since you know which student is assigned to which ipod/ipad you know who sent you the email? Is that right? Thank you! Margie

    2. I have 30 iPods. I set up 1 iPod with folders, music, email, etc. I restored all the iPods to factory settings and then made them the exact "SAME!" by the back up of the original iPod. So basically they are CLONES! They all have the same email account step up on them. The students do not need a log in or password. It automatically emails. I need to make a video of how I do it. I have had many others ask about it. I make the kids put their full name on the "subject" line so I know who the email is coming from. The students don't use the exact same iPod each time because I share the iPods with 2 other 2nd grades.

    3. Thank you for sharing this! I'm sorry that I did not respond to you right after you posted it, but if you should ever make that video I'd pay money to see it :) Thank you, Mindy! - MargieDee
